As a pastoral counselor, my goal is to build connection, foster hope, and help individuals experience personal wellness through empathetic and effective pastoral counseling. Pastoral Counseling Senior Intern
Each person has a unique story and brings a unique set of strengths to counseling. It is important that individuals feel connected in the counseling environment and that conversations provide a hope-filled perspective. It is my goal to provide empathy and effective counseling so individuals can grow psychologically, spiritually, and relationally. My goal is to provide practical assistance so people can experience healing and wholeness in life. We each experience issues in life. It is important to use the most beneficial tools for each person. –Dr. Guman

Dr. Guman utilizes an integrative approach with an emphasis on cognitive therapy models. When individuals focus on their thoughts, they can change their feelings and behaviors. However, other counseling models and techniques can be helpful as well. Dr. Guman will work to provide counseling that helps each client.
She works with women, groups, persons of faith, individuals suffering from various psychological issues, and survivors of trauma.
